This agreement has expired, so nothing here has changed yet. Under the Labour Relations Act the terms of an expired agreement keep applying while a new one is bargained, and police and firefighters cannot strike, so their rounds go to binding interest arbitration instead. The rates above are still what lands on the stub today. When the award comes it is normally backdated to the day after expiry, which means a lump sum of retroactive pay and a higher base from then on. Both matter on a mortgage file, and they are counted differently.

Collective agreement, Article 13 - Salaries, clause 13.1, 'FIRE SALARY SCHEDULE' table, FIRE SUPPRESSION block, agreement page 15. Three effective-date columns: JANUARY 2022 (2%), JANUARY 2023 (2%), JANUARY 2024 (2%). January 2024 is the last column printed, so it is the last known rate. A footnote below the table reads verbatim 'Fire Supression hired prior to January 1, 2021 shall receive 95% of 1st Class Fire Suppression wage ($101,853)'; that $101,853 corresponds to the JANUARY 2022 column and is not carried into steps. Article 21 - Duration: agreement 'shall continue in effect until December 31st, 2024' then renews year to year absent notice. Re-queried the provincial library for employer Woodstock on 2026-08-28: the newest fire agreement on file is this 2022-01-01 to 2024-12-31 record, with no successor agreement or arbitration award, hence expired-in-bargaining.. Open the source. Base pay only. Premiums, overtime and paid duty are not in this table. Confirm against your own stub before relying on it.

What a lender does with this

Base pay off the grid is the easy part. On a frontline file the rest of the T4 is where approvals are won or lost.
