What this step buys
An estimate, not an approval. Send it over and we will confirm it against your own stubs.
Ask Jeff and EmilyThis agreement expires within the year. The rates above keep applying past the expiry date while a new agreement is bargained, and any increase is normally backdated. If your file closes around then, it is worth flagging.
Collective agreement, Appendix "B" - Salaries, Salary Table 1 of 2 ("Differentials for Firefighters hired Prior to January 1, 2025"), 2026 column, document pages 39-40. Firefighter - Probationary has no dollar figure printed for 2026 (table instructs "Refer to Salary Table 2"), so it is omitted from steps rather than estimated. Column years are not individually dated with a day/month in Article X, so effectiveFrom uses January 1 of each printed year, consistent with the agreement's own January 1, 2023 commencement date (Article XXVI); this is a date-anchoring convention, not a derived dollar figure. Salary Table 2 of 2 (firefighters hired on/after Jan 1, 2025) prints the identical First Class figures ($115,214.00 for 2025, $118,785.00 for 2026) confirming the top rate is common to both hire tracks. The document separately notes new officer-rank differentials (e.g. Captain, Platoon Chief) take effect July 1, 2026 - the latest date printed anywhere in the wage schedule.. Open the source. Base pay only. Premiums, overtime and paid duty are not in this table. Confirm against your own stub before relying on it.
